According to exchange data, on Thursday, the foreign institutional investors (FIIs) purchased shares worth ₹595.78 crore, while the domestic institutional investors (DIIs) bought equities worth ₹2,700.36 crore on a net basis.
On the global front, Asian equities were trading higher on Friday, supported by a rebound in technology stocks, though gains were capped as investors were cautious as Bank of Japan hiked overnight call rates by 25 bps to 0.75%--highest level in 30 years.
Japan's Nikkei rose 1.32%, Hong Kong's Hang Seng advanced 0.73%, and South Korea's KOSPI surged 0.85%, while the Shanghai Composite was trading 0.59% higher.
On Wall Street, major indices ended higher on Thursday after a softer-than-expected inflation report reinforced expectations of interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.14%, the S&amp;P 500 climbed 0.79%, and the tech-heavy Nasdaq jumped 1.38%.

The bill had made it through the Lok Sabha despite protests and walkouts on Thursday afternoon. The debate in Rajya Sabha went on post-midnight and around 12.15 am, the voting was held, and the bill was passed by voice vote.&nbsp;
Despite the outrage of the Congress, which has been protesting over the switch in name from Mahatma Gandhi to G Ram G, the outcome was not in doubt given the numbers. Still, the Opposition put up a strong fight, initially demanding that the bill be referred to a standing Committee. Later, they called for an outright withdrawal of the bill. In the end, they walked, and the bill was passed in both houses in the presence of the members of the ruling alliance.&nbsp;
Later the MPs from Trinamool Congress and other Opposition parties sat on dharna in Parliament.

Iran's top security authorities have vowed to retaliate for the killing of the country's supreme leader, saying those responsible will face consequences "at the right time," as preparations continue for nationwide funeral ceremonies.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, Mohammad Baqer Zolqadr, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said the investigation into the killing remained active and warned that those responsible, as well as those who ordered the attack, would face what he described as "just punishment" in the near future. He characterized the late leader's death as a lasting symbol of Iran's national security doctrine.
Zolqadr was appointed to the post in March following the death of his predecessor, according to Iranian state media.
In a separate statement, Iran's Guardian Council condemned the attack, calling it an attempt to weaken the resolve of the Iranian people. The council said the leader's death would instead strengthen resistance and reinforce national unity.

The European Union could enter the upcoming winter heating season with its lowest gas reserves in 15 years, raising concerns over higher energy costs for households and businesses, according to a Financial Times report citing projections from energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie.
The EU has struggled with elevated energy prices since significantly reducing imports of Russian oil and pipeline gas following the escalation of the Ukraine conflict. The shift has increased the bloc's dependence on liquefied natural gas (LNG), particularly supplies from the United States, which are generally more expensive than Russian pipeline deliveries.
Wood Mackenzie projects that EU gas storage facilities will be only 76% full by the end of the April-to-October replenishment season, marking the lowest pre-winter storage level since 2011. The lower inventory levels could leave Europe more exposed to supply disruptions and price volatility during periods of high winter demand.
According to the report, the outlook is complicated by the EU's planned ban on Russian LNG imports from January 1. Russian LNG currently accounts for around 14% of the bloc's total imports of the super-cooled fuel. At the same time, disruptions to LNG shipping through the Strait of Hormuz during the recent US-Iran conflict, along with reduced production in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, have tightened global supplies.
Wood Mackenzie warned that gas prices are likely to rise as winter approaches, particularly if Europe experiences colder-than-average weather in early 2027. Natasha Fielding, an analyst at Argus Media, told the Financial Times that prolonged tightness in global LNG markets would reduce Europe's storage levels at the start of winter and increase the likelihood of sharp price spikes.
The report noted that EU gas storage sites were only 28% full at the start of this year's refill season following an unusually cold winter, significantly below the seasonal average. Storage levels have since risen to approximately 48%, according to industry data.
Europe's growing reliance on US LNG has also drawn attention. Earlier this year, Politico reported that roughly one-quarter of the EU's gas imports came from the United States. The publication cited diplomats who warned that Washington could use Europe's dependence on American fuel to strengthen its leverage in foreign policy. Last week, the US also warned it could redirect LNG exports to other markets unless the EU eases proposed methane emissions regulations.

EU Braces for Winter Gas Supply Shock

US President Donald Trump disclosed more than $1.4 billion in cryptocurrency-related income over the past year, according to his latest annual financial disclosure, underscoring the growing role digital assets now play in his financial portfolio.
The 927-page filing, released on Tuesday by the US Office of Government Ethics, shows that earnings from crypto ventures significantly exceeded income from many of Trump's traditional businesses, including his golf resorts and real estate properties.
The largest reported crypto-related income was $635 million in royalties tied to a licensing agreement with Celebration Coins. The agreement is linked to the $TRUMP meme coin, which was launched shortly before Trump's inauguration in January 2025. Although the token briefly reached a multibillion-dollar valuation, it has since lost more than 95% of its peak value, leaving many investors with substantial losses despite the reported royalty income.
Trump also disclosed more than $525 million from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by his sons and business associates, including envoy Steve Witkoff. The filing further reported $65 million from an equity sale and nearly $197 million in net proceeds from a stablecoin transaction.
The disclosure lists Trump's digital asset holdings as "more than $50 million" in bitcoin and between $5 million and $25 million in ethereum. However, US ethics rules require officials to report assets within broad value ranges, making it impossible to determine the precise size of his cryptocurrency portfolio.
Crypto appears to have become Trump's largest source of reported income. By comparison, Trump National Doral generated $121 million, up from $110 million a year earlier, while Mar-a-Lago contributed $77 million, compared with $56 million in the previous filing.
The report also details more than $86 million in legal settlements involving companies including X, ABC, CBS, YouTube and Meta. In addition, Trump reported income from various licensing and branding agreements covering products such as watches, sneakers, fragrances and books.
Responding to criticism over potential conflicts of interest, White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly said Trump had helped establish the United States as a global leader in cryptocurrency through executive actions and legislation. She rejected allegations of ethical conflicts, saying neither Trump nor his family had acted improperly.
Critics, however, argue that the president's extensive crypto interests raise ethical concerns because his administration has advanced policies viewed as supportive of the digital asset industry while he continues to maintain ownership of his business interests rather than placing them into a blind trust.
The filing also shows that First Lady Melania Trump earned millions through licensing agreements, including more than $10 million tied to her documentary and over $6 million from NFT and collectible sales.

Trump Reports $1.4 Billion in Crypto Profits

Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has rejected US claims that Tehran will use its recently unfrozen assets to purchase American agricultural products, deepening disagreements over the interpretation of the interim US-Iran peace agreement signed on June 17.
In a post on X on Thursday, Ghalibaf dismissed remarks by US officials, writing, "America falsely claims our unfrozen assets will buy their agriculture. Interesting. The only crop we're harvesting is what you planted: decades of mistrust. It's organic, abundant, and homegrown."
He further criticized Washington, adding that the US "only exports GMO soybeans, broken promises and trash talks."
Under the memorandum of understanding (MoU), the United States agreed that an unspecified amount of Iranian assets frozen under sanctions would be made fully available to Tehran once the agreement is implemented. However, President Donald Trump has stated that part of those funds would be used to purchase American agricultural products, including wheat, soybeans and corn.
Trump made the remarks after some Republican allies questioned the agreement, arguing that it offered excessive concessions to Iran. Senator Ted Cruz described the release of funds to Tehran as "an exceptionally bad idea."
The disagreement over frozen assets is the latest in a series of disputes surrounding the agreement. Earlier this week, Iran accused Israel of violating the deal through continued military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, despite the MoU calling for the immediate and permanent end to hostilities in the country.
The United States has blamed Iran-backed groups for undermining the agreement. Secretary of State Marco Rubio accused "Iranian proxies" of destabilizing the region, while Tehran responded by condemning what it described as American interventionism and support for Israel.
The two countries also remain divided over the Strait of Hormuz. Washington insists Iran has no authority to impose tolls on vessels using the strategic waterway, while Tehran argues it is entitled to collect service fees from ships passing through one of the world's busiest energy trade routes.

Iran Denies US Account of Frozen Assets

Denmark is considering introducing a nationwide ban on the Islamic call to prayer, known as the Adhan, as part of the government's broader efforts to curb what it describes as the "Islamization" of the country. Immigration Minister Morten Bodskov said the call to prayer "has no place" in Denmark and confirmed that authorities will reopen an investigation into whether it can be legally prohibited.
Speaking to Danish news agency Ritzau on Wednesday, Bodskov argued that the Adhan should not be broadcast across Danish communities. "The call to prayer should not be heard over Danish rooftops," he said, adding that people should never feel as though they have "ended up in a suburb of Islamabad" while walking through Denmark.
The Adhan is recited five times a day to invite Muslims to prayer and, in many countries, is broadcast through loudspeakers mounted on mosques or minarets. While some Danish municipalities, including Copenhagen, already limit outdoor broadcasts under local noise regulations, Bodskov believes Islamic practices continue to occupy too much public space.
Denmark has a population of around six million people, including an estimated 270,000 Muslims&mdash;roughly five percent of the population&mdash;and around 100 mosques nationwide.
The proposal comes as Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen begins her third consecutive term in office after the Social Democrats recorded their poorest election performance in more than a century in March. The election reflected growing public concerns over the cost of living, pressure on welfare services and immigration.
At the same time, the right-wing Danish People's Party significantly increased its support after campaigning for zero net Muslim migration. In response, Frederiksen's government has adopted a tougher stance on immigration and the visibility of Islam in public life. Recent proposals include extending Denmark's face-veil ban to schools and universities and removing prayer rooms from educational institutions.
Previous governments led by Frederiksen also introduced stricter asylum policies, implemented controversial "ghetto" laws targeting neighborhoods with large migrant populations, and approved measures allowing authorities to relocate residents from areas considered insufficiently integrated.
Supporters of the proposed Adhan ban argue it would help preserve Denmark's secular public sphere. Critics, however, say it unfairly targets Muslims and could conflict with constitutional protections guaranteeing freedom of religion and public worship.
