Hezbollah said on Tuesday that it had carried out a large-scale series of military operations against Israeli forces operating in southern Lebanon. According to the group, its fighters launched 32 separate attacks involving ground clashes, rocket fire, artillery strikes, and drone operations aimed at slowing the advance of Israeli troops in the region.

In a statement, Hezbollah said many of the operations were concentrated around the strategically important town of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, where some of the heaviest fighting reportedly took place. The group claimed its fighters targeted several Israeli military positions and vehicles during coordinated attacks across the area.

Hezbollah stated that the operations resulted in the destruction or damage of multiple Israeli Merkava tanks and armored vehicles. The group also claimed to have disrupted Israeli military communications, struck an Iron Dome air defense platform, and shot down two Israeli quadcopter drones during the clashes.

The resistance movement said the operations demonstrated its determination to defend Lebanese territory and respond to what it described as repeated Israeli violations and military incursions. Hezbollah argued that the fighting showed Israeli forces could not operate inside Lebanon without facing significant resistance and losses.

The group insisted its military activities are defensive in nature and aimed at forcing the withdrawal of Israeli troops from southern Lebanon. Hezbollah said its operations are intended to end what it called ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanese territory and civilians.

The latest escalation comes amid broader regional tensions involving the so-called “Axis of Resistance,” a coalition of Iran-backed groups active across the Middle East. Hezbollah said the alliance continues to oppose Israeli and Western influence in the region through coordinated military and political efforts.

Meanwhile, violence along the Lebanon-Israel border has continued to intensify in recent months. According to reports cited by Hezbollah, Israeli military operations in Lebanon since early March have resulted in the deaths of more than 3,100 people, further deepening fears of a wider regional conflict involving Israel and armed groups across the Middle East.
